About Averi

Averi is a 17 year old horse trainer, who has always had dreams of becoming a professional in the horse world.

Averi believes in allowing each horse to progress at their own pace, listening to what they are telling her and building confidence along the way.

The horse comes first.

My horses are my partners, and we’re doing this together.

Patience over pressure - giving horses the time they need to truly understand

Flatwork as the foundation - believing that virtually everything can be taught from the walk and that strong basics create confident, capable horses.

No shortcuts or gimmicks - keeping training simple, purposeful, and horse focused

Celebrating the try - rewarding effort and progress, no matter how small.

Flexibility - because horses have bad days, too. Sometimes the best training session is simply a relaxing hack.

Windspray Oceana aka “Ana” is my 19 year old Hanoverian mare. She is dressage bred, but has taken me up to the meters in show jumping. I have done all the jumping training on her.

SE Rumor Goin’ Round aka “Rumor” is my 4 year old mustang x mare. I have done all of the training on this horse, with the help of my wonderful trainer Eleni Kangas. I have big plans for this little mare.

Miss Leo Lynx Doc

Miss Leo Lynx Doc aka “Lynx” is my 26 year old AQHA mare. Lynx was my first pony, taking me from training level dressage to the 2’6 jumpers. Lynx is now happily retired, living her best life with her friends.

Sunburst Samson aka “Koyo” is the first horse in my program. He is a 4 year old AQHA gelding, and was started as a cow horse. I’ve trained this horse from the ground up and he’s now showing in dressage and jumpers.

Lucky Leonard aka “Leo” is the newest horse in my program. Leo is a 10 year old ottb gelding, who was a training level eventer. Leo is with me to be retrained and sold. Keep your eye on this one.

I Am Sundays Secret aka “Journey” is a Paint x Thoroughbred gelding owned by a friend of mine. I have been riding him since she bought him, and he’s making great progress. He will be in my full training program for the month of October.
